On Saturday I did something I advise my clients not to do by shopping at the last minute for a special event. I felt like the shoes I was going to wear (nude sling backs) took away from the beauty of my dress. Payless was my only destination as it was close to my house and its shoes are inexpensive. In the end, I found a great pair of glamorous and comfortable pumps-- for less than $25!
So here is my amended advice for last minute shopping: Have a clear goal in mind. Know what you are looking for, what you want to spend, and give yourself a realistic amount of time to shop. If you cannot find what you want, wear your backup plan and accessorize the heck out of it.
